OVER 20 YEARS OF SHIFTING PERSPECTIVES
In 1996, I was elected the youngest mayor in history of Safety Harbor, Florida at the age of 27. My experience as a Tampa Bay mayor, taught me a crucial and enduring lesson that "All Perspectives Are Influenced at the Local Level". That knowledge greatly influenced a rewarding and successful career as a Fortune 500 public relations manager (Eckerd Drug Stores), national trade association media & political communications director (NFIB), PR agency senior vice president/general manager (Hill+Knowlton Strategies), and C-Suite consultant (SL7 Consulting).
I've had the honor of working on two presidential campaigns, consulted nations on matters affecting United States national security, led multi-million dollar corporate campaigns, and stood shoulder-to-shoulder with clients faced with historic crises and national disasters.
STATUS QUO PROBLEM SOLVER
My 20 years of championing change has earned me a national reputation as a consultant with an expertise on "how to" deter, deminish and defeat status quo opposition infamously known as NIMBY. I've counseled global and local corporate developers on "how to" elevate their reputations to secure political and social support for their controversial land use projects. At the age of 27, I was elected mayor of a Safety Harbor, Florida (Tampa Bay), making me one of the youngest mayors in the nation, in 1996.
After completing my 3-year term, I was recruited to be the first public relations executive for one of the largest drugstore chains in the country, overseeing a multi-million dollar marketing communications budget. Then I went to work for the nation’s largest small-business trade association where I was responsible for political, media and grassroots engagement in 10 southeastern states influencing federal and state legislation from Delaware/Virginia to Mississippi/Louisiana.
Since 2002, I've consulted as strategic counsel and special projects manager for corporate interests. From 2010 to 2013, I accepted the position as general manager and senior vice president for one of the largest global communications agencies in the world.

His keynote, workshop and panelist presentations typically cover corporate leadership, political risk management, corporate campaigns, social sustainability, workforce empowerment, integrated communications and stakeholder engagement.
He has authored columns, op-eds and features covering topics of reality, leadership, change, stakeholder engagement, politics, ballot initiatives, activism, social sustainability, employee motivation and public relations.
Patrick studied Organizational Studies with Public Leadership at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. He graduated, Cum Laude, Bachelor of Arts.
Patrick’s course work included Principles of Leadership, Organizational Behavior & Leadership, Technology & Society, Complex Organizations, Managing Cultural Diversity, Work & Occupations, Evaluation Research Methods, Organizational Dynamics, Public Administration, Organizational Consultation, and Political Organizations.
